HISTORY
Fourex Clothing Pty Ltd is a fourth generation family business that has its roots in Winton with the Short family.
By 1971 Warren was ready to branch out, buying a small shirt manufacturing business, known as Kristex manufactured and supplied shorts under the name of "Mr Man " as well as Kristex label shirts. It was not long after this both brands were combined under the one FOUREX CLOTHING name.
The new name, Fourex Clothing gave the company impetus in the market. In 1979 Fourex won the first of the Australian Small Business Awards introduced by the Federal Government. In this inaugural year, Fourex Clothing was one of the few national winners.
In 1996 Warren retired, leaving son John to take over the role as managing director. Warren's wife Jan also retired in 1998. Both Warren and Jan remain as directors of the company.
Fourex Clothing Continues to supply school wear, sports wear (Emu sportswear) Australia-wide.
TEAMWORLD
Fourex has now created TEAMWORLD. This is the business which has been created to sell all our group products, i.e. products for clubs, companies or schools. TEAMWORLD offers:
- · our EMU Sportswear customised team sports apparel.
- · our Quality FOUREX schoolwear.
- · group products from external suppliers. This include a variety of products including apparel, hats, balls or even accessories.
